    Staying in Arzei HaBira

Arzei HaBira is a small, quiet neighbourhood of family-sized apartment buildings on the northern edge of central Jerusalem, between Shmuel HaNavi and Maalot Dafna. Geula and Meah Shearim are a short walk, the Kotel-bound bus lines run along Shmuel HaNavi, and Shabbos here is Shabbos: the streets are closed, the shuls are full and neighbours look out for one another.

JTown Rentals has rented, managed and renovated apartments in Arzei HaBira for 17 years. We know which buildings have Shabbos elevators, which streets are walkable with a stroller and which units suit a large family over Yom Tov.

    Who Arzei HaBira suits

Frum families and groups who want to walk to Geula, Meah Shearim and the Old City, be surrounded by shuls and kosher shopping, and stay in a proper apartment rather than a hotel room.

Questions guests ask about Arzei HaBira

How far is Arzei HaBira from the Old City?

About thirty minutes on foot through Meah Shearim, or fifteen minutes by bus along Shmuel HaNavi. The Shimon HaTzadik light-rail stop is about ten minutes' walk.

    Is there kosher shopping nearby?

Yes. Geula's shops, bakeries and restaurants are a few minutes' walk, and there are grocers and a Mehadrin supermarket on the edge of the neighbourhood.

    Are the apartments kosher?

Some are. Look for the Kosher or Kosher Mehadrin amenity on each listing, or ask us to recommend one. Where a unit is marked Kosher Mehadrin we make sure every guest staying there knows and keeps those guidelines.

Can you help me choose between this neighbourhood and nearby areas?

That is what we do. Tell us who is coming, which shul you daven in and what matters most to you, and we will point you to the right neighbourhood and the right apartment. Email, WhatsApp or call, whichever is easier.
